ABOUT NELSON
Born and raised in Orange NSW, Nelson has always loved being out on the open road and connecting with people in the local community.
With the support of his mum, family, friends, and teachers throughout his life, Nelson has continued building his independence, confidence, and everyday living skills while creating meaningful friendships and connections along the way.
GRADUATING FROM ANSON STREET SCHOOL
Nelson graduated from Anson Street School in Orange, where he developed important everyday living skills that continue to support his independence and confidence today.
His time at school also helped him build strong friendships and connections within the community, giving him a supportive network and helping shape the person he is today.
HOW THE BUSINESS STARTED
Nelson's Special Deliveries began with a simple idea.
Nelson's Aunty Jo needed albums delivered to nearby towns, and it became the perfect reason for a drive they were already planning to take. What started as a small favour soon grew into something bigger.
The goal was to create meaningful work for Nelson doing something he genuinely enjoys, while helping support local communities with affordable fresh produce delivery. Today, Nelson's Special Deliveries serves Orange and surrounding areas, connecting customers with fresh produce and locally made products from businesses such as Huntley Berry Farm.
